Winemaker Notes
This vintage marks a shift in our grape sourcing where we moved away from historically overripe, heavy
almost oily versions of Viognier to a brighter more balanced fruit. To continue the shift, our winemaking
style leaned toward how we make our Sauvignon Blancs, including yeast selection, long cool fermentation,
and brief barrel time to add depth and enhance the bright fruit.
This was a small lot dedicated to experimenting with the style adjustment and having some available for
the white Rhone blend we created. In its varietal release yielded a modest 39 cases. I’m thrilled with the
direction this wine takes: open, bright fruit, balanced mouthfeel and complex and interesting finish.
Delicate white flower with tropical and stone fruit notes. We made a lot more in the 2024 vintage!
